Srolling thru the member directory, I count aproximately 180 members, and I can't help but wonder how much (if any) communication takes place between the members. I am also an owner of a equally rare Lotus Elite race car and the global Lotus community is very communicative; members, whose locations and profiles are known, are easily communicated with. I'm fortunate for having established communications with a member who is recognized as being THE US Lotus Elite expert. Why can't the DB Zagato Forum be the same???

Looks like the next step in opening up the site for more interaction. Always nice. Spring Driving time again.🏁🏁🏁

After much thought and research we have added a members chat. (which took many hours)
This option was not available when I built the site in 2018, but is now newly available (with an AI add on app for the site that was recently released) The members messenger will be in testing phase at this time and if proves to be a winner we will keep it. If proves to be problematic it will go away. Hope that this helps all members in their connections with others.
Rules for the chat:
must follow all site agreements
be polite and professional
no SPAM or advertising
no mass messages or communications
Report any misuse, abuse, inappropriate activity, advertizing, SPAM, etc to me via email. Include screen shots please
Abusers of the chat will be deactivated from our group at the site owners disgression.

Sorry that your dissatisfied with the site. We try to make it as nice as we can. If you would like to make a Abarth Forum for members we would not be offended if you started one. I would be the second one to sign up after you. I’m in Washington. Look forward to seeing your Forum. We can advertise it here.

Robert...thanks for the reply. Yup....I've been communicating with Mike since I got my Lotus via Bringattrailer.com and Mike was one of the commenters...along with Clark Lance, my local Ostrov who's raced Lotuses on every major US track...and Le Mans twice in historics. Your DB history nearly parallels mine. I first saw a DB at Elkhart Lake (now Road America) in 1960 and was smitten. Had to have one. Found one in 1963 in Madison while I was a sophomore at the Univ.of Wisc, bought it, rebuilt the engine dreaming I'd race it with a lot of parts from Al Cosentino and 7 tools (which I still have) in the apartment I shared with 2 grad students and one post-doc. Kept the block in the bathtub and every time someone wanted a shower, they'd yell at me to move my damn block, Retimed it by hand and it started righth up the 1st time. Tragically had to sell it to continjue school and swore I'd get another someday. Fast forward 60 years later....and here i am with 440582 (see pics in the Image Archive). Hopefully I'm looking forward to communicating with other Forum members.
Yes, the Elite community is very active. Was at Ostrov’s, the Elite guru’s shop yesterday. Lots of Lotus there.
There are a few DBs in the SF area but I have never been able to meet up with any of them. If you are local and want to meet up, drop me a message.
