Introduction - Frank Di Gioia
I'm new here but not to rear engine Fiats and 600 based Abarth's.
I bough my first 850 Spider in 1970 and have had many since then.

I just got a notice from Anthony Berni of Berni Motori in Italy. He's got some three volume sets of ABARTH HISTORY books available now for 160 Euro plus postage. Looks like a nice set and probably the last ever printed,

I'm making progress on these two! I was able to remove the roundels from the BA, which results in a much cleaner look. Tough on the fingernails though!
It's interesting to see the car in the photo at the top of this section - very similar looking. Could that be mine from several years ago before the roundels were applied?

I really love this color. This car used to be part of the Maranello Rosso Collection, right?

This car was once owned by famed Porsche 917 owner and vintage racer Gerry Sutterfield and his son. A bit of restoration was done during the 1970s but it was never finished or put back on the road. The body is in pretty decent unrestored condition and the chassis has very little rust. It is mostly complete with only a few missing parts including a windshield (obtainable from Mr Fiat).
At first we considered building a bit of an outlaw using a later Abarth engine, the A112. We then found and purchased some needed original Abarth mechanical parts and plans changed. We have many of the correct original Abarth engine parts including the Mill…

Attention to detail is very important. After a long painstaking resto project it's so gratifying to add that final touch. We have produced this beautiful tool bag using original restored tools and jack plus their newly-made million holder bag. The tool bag really sets off the front compartment and is the final touch for your Double Bubble, Record Monza or Bialbero resto. Period correct for models up to 1963!
