I was happy to see my old 750gt show up again. I have owned this car 100654000 twice. I bought it many years ago in Atlanta from an owner originally from ST Louis. The car was painted metallic Green. The car was complete with original emblems, bumpers and original engine. I used the car as a daily driver and later changed the engine to an 850. Sold the car a few years later for $1,000 to a Fiat guy.
Many years later talking to a car guy about cars we wanted back, the 750 came up. "He said he had one under a tarp in his back yard. I bought it for $500. It had no floors and no seats, but every thing else was there. I slowly restored the car as shown in the SCM article. I sold the car several years ago to a collector for $26k. The white is the cars original color and the blue seats and door panels are correct. Not correct are the blue stripes and the blue triangles on the fender tops. Also someone added an extra emblem on top of the engine lid. The door mirror is one I added years ago when it was green. My goal in restoring the car was to keep it as original as possible. Finding the missing rear view mirror was almost impossible. Reproducing the missing bumpers was cost prohibitive. The bronze hubcap emblems was another tough part to find. I am glad someone is taking care of my old love.
