Thank you for adding.
I bought this RM2 in 2002 and spent 12 years making it roadworthy.
There is no history on this car - it came with an import clearance certificate of 519745, but the body features suggest it is not original (it should probably be in the 80000s). The parts were numbered #11, which was not included in John de Boer's registry.
The car was probably one of eight imported in 1960 by a Chicago company called DFL. It was bought by Terry Powell in 1962 and I don't know what happened to it after that, nor do I know how it came to Japan in the 1980s and then to myself. One piece of uncertain information is that it is similar in features to 847405, which was owned by Michael Shoen, a well-known collector. However, Mr Shoen did not appear to have any information at present.
If anyone knows anything about this car, please let me know.

This is Michael Shoen's #847405 photo in 1980's in US. He said this car later went to Japan and many of its features match mine, but unfortunately I have found no evidence that it is the same car.
What a wonderful car! It is nice to have found someone with the desire to get it back on the road. The workmanship is very nice and is a pleasure to see on our site. Maybe someone here will know of some other history and will shed some facts about your cars past life.
