An obituary for L. Stephen Bresnahan (1931 - 2011) tells us that his father was named "L. Steven Bresnahan" and his "second home" was the "Summit Point" race track. Some surviving children names are listed, and they might have some news for you? I have him (or his father) listed 1964 when chassis 399892 which was offered for sale at least twice in New York. That car was last reported to be in the UK. Your chassis (440582) was the second chassis (of approximately 275) delivered to MECAT in Torino to receive a Double Bubble body badged as "Zagato". The paint was blue and the interior red. The car was consigned July 1958 to an importer named "Neff" in Pasadena. Neff received quite a number of similar cars that became sold by various dealerships in Southern California. The car probably did not arrive until sometime in August. The earliest ownership record I have recorded is for the time period 1981 to 1984 when it was owned by Scott Emsley in California. Bresnahan also had chassis 692013 for a brief(?) time period around 1989. If you find this info of any interest or value, I would be pleased to have a modest donation as this data has required quite some time and effort to collect ... and share. iicarjohn@gmail
