Our Abarth 750GT (556 362) - Fondation Renaud

Hi fellow Abarth's enthusiasts, here is some info on a car not yet registered on this forum, the 750GT Bialbero chassis 556 362. This car is now well preserved in our collection here at Fondation Renaud in Switzerland. As I am currently working on documenting our collection, here are some information on it : This 750GT exited the factory on the 27th of February 1959 with bodywork Z 255. We do not know who the first owner was (if someone can help us with that). Next, we know that the car was registered in Geneva in 1965 to a coachbuilder named Rolando (or Roland) Ghezzi. He entered the car in several races such as the 1966 Sierra-Montana-Crans with La Meute racing team (see photos). The next owner we know is Raoul Goetschmann in Neuchâtel, but we assume that there was another owner in between (once again, any information on that would be great). Apparently, the car was exhibited a the Geneva's automobile museum where private collector were able to show their car there. Finally, car collector Charles Renaud bought the car, but we do not know when, because, and I quote "it is the year of my daughter". From then, the car was kept preciously here in Cortaillod.

If anyone has some information which could help us fill in the gap, or knows anyone who could, please tell me, we are close to have a complete history on this crazy car. Also, I have contacted John de Boer, but without success. If anyone knows how to contact him, it would be great.

Thank you everyone and enjoy the photos :
