Galvanic corrosion
My 1958 DB had a body off restoration in Australia 35 years ago. It is common, I believe, for our cars to experience galvanic corrosion where the alloy body contacts the steel subframe as the material used to separate the two metals ages and degrades.
I am seeing this at the bottom of my doors toward the front.
I am told to totally remove the body and address the underlying steel which is very costly.

Can others with this issue share their solutions? I am told a localized repair can work but will not be as effective longer term.
Thank you.
