I just acquired 440582 on Sat. This has been a 59 yr search. I had a DB when I was a soph. @ the Univ. of Wisc. in 1964. I had hoped to race and rebuilt the engine with many parts from Al Cosentino and kept the block in the bathtub of the apt I shared witgh 3 grad students and one post-doc. Every time someone wanted to take a shower, I had to move the block out. I had to sell it for tuition, one of the major regrets in my life but I knew I'd acquire another DB some day. Somewhere I have the chassis number of that DB and would love to know what happened to it. In any event, I have many questions about DBs and would like to establish connections with Forum members. I'm in Nashville and wonder if there are other local Forum members. Incidentally, my DB, rebuilt to race at Sebring in 1986, is sitting next to my Series 1, Stage 3 1960 Lotus Elite, also a historic racer. They're bonding, as we speak.
